Always use high octane gas from a local gas station. 91+ premium unleaded fuel is best. Racing fuel will not enhance the performance of your bike. It may even degrade its performance.
What should the oil mixture be for 2-stroke motor? How do I mix it?
The gas-to-oil mixture should be 25:1 on new motors and 50:1 on motors that are broken in. Mixing the fuel is very easy and takes less than 1 minute. Use the provided mixing bottle, pour the gas into the bottle to the specified line and pour the 2-Stroke Motorcycle Oil (do not use regular car oil) to the designated line. Close the cap and shake for 5 seconds. You are ready to fill the bike with the mixture.
How long is the break-in period?
When the bike is new, it is recommended that it not be run at max RPM's during the initial break-in period, which is about 3-4 tanks of gas. After that, you may run the bike as hard as you want.
How do you fill air in the tires? What is the correct
PSI?
Both tires have valves similar to automobile tires. Any air filling device designed for automotive tires will work for these tires as well. The correct pressure is 30 PSI in front and 32 PSI in the rear tires.
Gas is leaking from the overflow tube. How do I stop it?
This is a common adjustment and it is due to the float getting stuck or dirty. Sometimes dirt and debris get stuck inside the bowl. First, bounce the butt of the bike up and down to try to knock the float loose. If that doesn't work, drain the gas and look on the bottom of the bike. You will notice a metal part that looks like a doggy bowl. The clear (or black) tube where the gas is leaking from connects to it. It has one screw in the middle and 2 screws on each side. Remove the 2 side screws. Inside you will see a float (looks like a donut). Take the float out and clean it. Check to make sure the gasket is not blocking the donut from sliding up and down freely. If so, trim the inner circle of the gasket. Do not cut too much. Replace everything you removed and the bike should not be leaking gas anymore.
How do you properly start the bike?
Below is the proper procedure to start your pocket bike via the Pull Start:
1. Stand up the bike; you should be straddling the bike. The pull start cord is on your right side.
2. Put the choke lever on the closed position ( this is usually the UP position ).
3. Pull the start cord out slowly till it reaches its maximum length. Repeat this procedure 2-3 times.
4. Then pull the cord out swiftly with one strong pull.
( pull the cord straight back; do not pull at an angle ).
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the bike starts.
6. After the bike starts, let it warm up for 1 minute. Then put the choke lever to the open position.
7. The bike is now ready to ride.
* Starting may require several tries when the bike is still new. After break-in, the bike will start up with only one or two pull procedures.
Below is the proper procedure to start your pocket bike via the Electric Start:
1. Insert the key and turn it clockwise (if applicable).
2 .Be sure the included fuse has been installed. Check to make sure all the ACC components are functioning.
3. Put the choke on "closed" (refer to your manual if you don't know where the choke lever is on your bike).
4. Pull the brake lever in (built-in safety mechanism) and push the start button.
5. When the bike starts, keep the choke closed until the bike warms up.
6. When the bike is ready, put the choke on "open."
7. The bike is now ready to ride.
